With the waning of the corona virus pandemic, the tourism industry of India is fully prepared for a renewal, said G. Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER.

For any tourist from abroad, India is a country to experience and be changed for life. Minister Reddy said that if India is looking to realize its fast objective of a five trillion-dollar economy and its longstanding objective of an advanced nation, then tourism has a pivotal role to play. Reddy addressed the second day of the National Conference of State Tourism at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh.

Reddy said that India offers an assortment of products and experiences as a travel destination. India’s opulent heritage is a wide-ranging convergence of festivals, religions, customs and traditions.

The minister added that the backing of local people and communities must be counted, so that the welfares of tourism seep into to the masses at the same time.

Reddy said that there is a need to create Yuva tourism clubs at all levels. States need to work seriously for setting up of these tourism clubs to make the youth aware of the idea of ‘Dekho Apna Desh’.
