Indian Vice President urges people to travel to all parts of the country

M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Vice President of India has urged people to develop an inclination toward Indian destinations and travel to all parts of India for tourism purposes before opting for overseas locations.

Emphasizing on the need for providing a stimulus to tourism in the North-East, Mr. Naidu said that repeated people-to-people connections and communications can reinforce the unity and uprightness of India. The Vice President spoke with the contestants of the trip, ‘North East on Wheels’ in which 75 bikers, comprising five women from 18 States traveled across the seven northeastern states along with Sikkim.

Mr. Naidu felt sad that in spite of the opulent experience that the region presents, many people are still ignorant and unfamiliar about that. He advised people loving traveling to travel around the North-East, to celebrate its beauty and appreciate the variety present in the region’s traditions.

As per a statement by the Vice President Secretariat, Mr. Naidu cherished the North-East for presenting the way to India in the arena of organic farming and proposed that other states of the country need to learn from the superlative practices of northeastern states and progressively move to ecological agriculture.
