IndiGo Launches Second Daily Flights to Thailand, Creating a Remarkable Gateway from Mumbai to Europe

Published on May 25, 2025

India’s largest low-cost carrier, IndiGo Airlines (6E), is expanding its network to better integrate long-haul and regional travel by adding second daily flights from Mumbai to two of Thailand’s top tourist hotspots—Phuket (HKT) and Bangkok (BKK). This expansion, effective July 1, 2025, aims to position Mumbai as a strategic gateway connecting Southeast Asia with Europe.

IndiGo’s network update includes not only the additional frequencies but also carefully retimed flights to optimize smooth same-day connections with their upcoming long-haul services to Manchester and Amsterdam. With flights from Delhi facing operational challenges, Mumbai’s role as a hub for both Southeast Asian and European travel is becoming increasingly important.
