The Indonesian Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry has inaugurated the Buy Creative Tourism Village (Beti Dewi) program for upholding travel packages to tourism villages across Indonesia.

As part of the program, the ministry is working with an online travel agency, which has organized a special channel for marketing exciting tourism village packages.

Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Deputy for Marketing at the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry said that this year’s aim is 100 tour packages, where the packages are taken from the 100 greatest tourism villages at the 2021 and this year’s National Tourism Village Awards.

Marthini said that the packages are the outcome of the curation of the finest undertakings by tourism village managers and tourism consciousness groups in their individual villages.

The Indonesian ministry is now looking for boosting and selling tourism village packages, with the intention of citizens getting a choice of new destinations for holidays, particularly tourist villages.

Presently, the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry is only working with Mister Aladin, which is an online travel agency. However, collaboration would be made with other bodies. Among other efforts would be growing the selection of tour packages: 500 village tourism packages will be presented in 2023, and the number of packages would be amplified to up to 1000 by 2024.

Chief Operating Officer at Mister Aladin, Nitha Sudewo, said that her agency is super excited about supporting the program for increasing visits to tourism villages.
