Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (MoTCE) along with Indonesian tourism players are taking part in the world’s second-largest tourism show this year, which is the World Travel Market London, at the Exhibition Center London from November 7–9, 2022, at “Wonderful Indonesia’s” pavilion booth AS900.

Since February this year, Indonesia has reopened its doors for foreign visitors. Among the measures to revive the tourism sector is a Special Tourist Visa on Arrival for 86 countries, visa-free for ASEAN countries, second-home visa and letting off PCR tests for fit travelers and quarantine for entirely vaccinated travelers.

Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia said that one factor luring international visitors is expedient visa services. Indonesia is optimistic about welcoming 3.5 to 7.4 million foreign visitors in 2023. For international visitors meeting all requirements, a second-home visa applicable for 5 to 10 years can open new opportunities for a niche market.

Deputy for Marketing Ni Made Ayu Marthini said that the tourism industry of Indonesia can utilize this opportunity for attracting the European and UK markets by repeatedly building safe, easy, and competitive tourist destinations accentuating quality and sustainability.

36 tourism industry participants, counting travel bureaus, tour operators, destination management companies and hotel chains in Indonesia, are taking part in WTM 2022, presenting various tour packages for luring prospective visitors.
