Ireland Welcomes US and Canadian Tour Operators to Showcase Top Travel Experiences for 2025

Published on November 3, 2024

Ireland is hosting five tour operators from the United States and Canada this week, welcomed by Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, and Tourism Northern Ireland. These operators are specialists in group travel, with a strong focus on creating itineraries that celebrate shared cultural and historical connections for their clients.

The purpose of their visit is to introduce them to Ireland’s exceptional tourism experiences, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of the island’s unique offerings. This initiative aims to position Ireland as a top recommendation for their 2025 travel itineraries, ensuring it remains a prominent choice for group travel enthusiasts. By immersing themselves in the sights, culture, and heritage of both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, these operators will return equipped to highlight Ireland’s allure to their clients.

Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, said: “We’re delighted these influential tour operators have taken the time to come and experience the island of Ireland’s superb tourism offering – including our cultural and historical experiences – and see for themselves what Ireland has to offer their clients. Our aim is that when they return home, they will be more knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the destination, helping to secure a greater share of their business for the island of Ireland in 2025 and beyond.”

The group’s itinerary features visits to iconic sites such as Titanic Belfast, Titanic Distillers, and Crumlin Road Gaol. They will also explore The Gobbins, Broughgammon Farm, and take a walking tour of the historic walled city of Derry. Their journey includes a visit to GORTA – Swatragh’s Famine Story and the Ulster American Folk Park. In Fermanagh, they will experience Finn Lough, enjoy a guided boat tour on Lough Erne with Erne Water Taxi, and participate in the Enniskillen Taste Experience.
