A roadshow was conducted by the Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) in New Delhi on August 22 to enhance the commercial ties with the Indian travel trade fraternity.
There were interaction with 300 key travel and tour operators, MICE providers, up-market leisure operators and media personnel to retain the growth momentum of Indian arrivals to Israel.
There was an interactive session with the IMOT team, B2B sessions, education programme and workshops to aid trade members to plan itineraries.
The newly appointed Director of Tourism for India and Phillipines markets, Sammy Yahia along with Judah Samuel, Director-Marketing, Israel Ministry of tourism, India included the representative partners from the tourism industry of Israel.
Sammy leads the tourism board’s initiatives in India and oversees the development of policies and strategies to strengthen Israel’s reputation as the world-class tourism and travel destination.
Sammy Yahia, Israel Ministry Tourism – India and Phillipines said that the arrivals from India have exceeded expectations in the last few years and they have seen the same trend in 2019. India currently stands third in Asia among the top source markets for Israel. While keeping the current momentum going, the idea is to aggressively work towards increasing connectivity between India & Israel by introducing new airlines to service the route. He was delighted with this new position and foresee ample opportunities for to push boundaries and reinvent the ever evolving and dynamic Indian traveller.
APEX, MILT, EXITO and SATTE participated in several trade shows and exhibitions this year and showcased their dynamnic offering of the destination to the travel trade community. In September a YPO delegation is expected to travel in September this year with a 25-person delegation from Aries Agro Limited visiting Israel in September.
