In a bid to boost the country’s profile as a tourist destination, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has hired Development Counsellors International.

For the past four months, Israel, which celebrated its 75th anniversary on April 25, has been shaken by protests. Hundreds of thousands of Israelis have protested against the country’s most right-wing and religiously orthodox government’s attempt to reform the court.

DCI’s one-year contract, which began on March 15, requires the Ministry to brief and advise it on its aims and expectations in writing. In turn, the company will develop an activity proposal and present it to the Ministry for approval.

The Israel account is handled by DCI’s Laura Cyrille and Elizabeth Borsting. The Ministry’s North America commissioner is Eyal Carlin.

DCI also works with Abu Dhabi, the Netherlands, Vienna, Brussels, Costa Rica, and Scotland on destination marketing.
