From the 1979 hit, ‘The Great Gambler’ to ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ (2008), ‘Kambhakt Ishq’ (2009), ‘Rockstar’ (2011) and ‘War’ (2019) – the famous canals of Venice, the trulli of Alberobello to the vibrant towns of the Amalfi Coast, the Indian, especially, the Bollywood movie makers seem to have forever exhibited a special fondness for Italy.

The Italian government, on its part, has also tried to encourage Bollywood filmmakers. It suits their determination of publicizing different places of Italy as prospective tourism destinations. Bollywood plays a pivotal role in the lives of Indians, particularly the actors and actresses.

Movie is a big force that is adept in motivating the decision of consumers, and it’s a little wonder thus that the Italian government always favored being understanding about Bollywood for making Italy an important filming destination for the industry.

The unspoiled beauty, the lively streets and pasta pizza among others makes Italy a first-rate shooting spot. From the Italian side, new offers comprise numerous financial concessions, financial support so on and so forth.

Following Covid-19, the Italian government is depending on these to publicize various locations to the Indian movie makers. While the northern part of Italy is known for its fast-paced standard of living, the southern part is popular for its old-world charm with quaint villages, crumbling ruins and extensive beaches. The Alps also holds major tourist magnetism in Italy.
