Messe Berlin Singapore confirmed it has signed a new three-year venue agreement with host country Singapore and Marina Bay Sands the show’s official partner hotel.
ITB Asia announced the renewal of venue for three years with the host country Singapore and Marina Bay Sands, the show’s official partner hotel.
Until October 2022, ITB Asia is locked into Singapore and the famous casino and convention hotel.
The next three editions of ITB Asia will take place from 21 to 23 October 2020, 27 to 29 October 2021 and 19 to 21 October 2022.
In 2019, ITB Asia was hosted at the the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands and attracted a record number of 13,000 attendees from 132 countries and territories according to Messe Berlin Singapore the show organiser.
There were more than 1,300 exhibitors and more than 1,250 buyers, while more than 27,000 business appointments were made showing a 7.4% year-on-year growth.
Thought leaders from across the MICE, Leisure, Corporate and Travel Tech sectors participated in the 12th year and explored how businesses can turn creative ideas into bold, practical initiatives to keep pace with the technological developments in the travel industry.
More than 270 speakers touched upon several issues across the three days of conference. Attendees could get a detailed understanding of the important practices and trends which define the future of MICE events at ITB Asia’s inaugural MICE Show Asia.
Messe Berlin chief executive officer, Christian Göke said that after 12 years, ITB Asia experienced strong growth again. This new record clearly demonstrates that the show is well accepted by the industry around the world as the must-attend event in Asia. Messe Berlin is delighted to continue the strategic partnership with Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) from 2020 to 2022.
Singapore Tourism Board Chief Executive Keith Tan said that since its inaugural show in 2008, ITB Asia has strengthened the travel industry in Asia. It has introduced new ideas, challenged prevailing mindsets, and provoked countless important connections and discussions. With the extension of their partnership with Messe Berlin (Singapore), STB looks forward to growing ITB Asia even further and making it even more relevant to Asia’s travel trade.
For more than 3,500 square metres of exhibition space , Messe Berlin Singapore confirmed signing up for the next year’s show.
