Edward Fotheringham, Vice President- Europe & Americas, Etihad Airways made his appearance at ITB Berlin 2023 (ITB Berlin and the ITB Berlin Convention). In an exclusive interview with Apratim Ghoshal, Editor, Travel And Tour World, Edward Fotheringham responded how Etihad Airways is connecting the Europe with the countries like Abu Dhabi, Seychelles Islands, Japan and other countries. He also shares about the returning of A380 on 15th July 2023 for summer travel between Abu Dhabi and London, United Kingdom.

The A380, manufactured by Airbus, is a highly advanced and sophisticated aircraft that has revolutionized the aviation industry. With a wingspan of nearly 80 meters and a length of 73 meters, the A380 has a maximum seating capacity of up to 853 passengers in its two decks.

Its four engines produce a thrust of up to 76,500 lbs that allows it to fly at an altitude of up to 43,000 feet at a cruising speed of about 560mph. The advanced technology used in manufacturing the A380 ensures smooth and quiet flights with state-of-the-art avionics systems enabling pilots to have greater control over the aircraft with improved navigational aids.

As well as being environmentally friendly with lower emissions compared to other aircraft due to its newer design and fuel efficient engines. All these features make the A380 an exceptional marvel of aviation engineering that continues to evolve, contribute significantly towards making air travel more comfortable for passengers while lowering carbon emissions for a sustainable future.

ITB Berlin 2023 took place as a pure B2B event under the slogan ‘Open for Change’ from Tuesday, 7 March, to Thursday, 9 March. Since 1966, ITB Berlin has been the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show. The internationally renowned ITB Berlin Convention takes place parallel to the show and is held live on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.The next ITB Berlin will take place from 5 to 7 March (Tuesday to Thursday) 2024 on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, Germany.
