Jackson Sim has been appointed as the Director of Marketing at General Hotel Management Ltd (GHM) in Singapore. GHM is recognised for conceptualising, developing and operating an exclusive group of hotels and resorts and prides itself in providing guests with a distinctive and unrivalled lifestyle experience. Sim worked in a similar capacity for Marriott International and for Singapore’s Next Story Group and comes with oversight on digital and branding initiatives.
Jackson spent seven years heading the cluster digital marketing team at the St. Regis, W and JW Marriott in Singapore, and has also worked for several years as a feature writer at Cuisine & Wine Asia, a trade publication based in Singapore.
He holds a Diploma in Culinary Arts from Taylor’s University in Malaysia, and a Master’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Hertfordshire in the U.K. He also completed a management development programme in Asian Hospitality at Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University.
