Jaipur to host Great Indian Travel Bazaar from April 23 after 3 years hiatus

Following a three-year hiatus due to Covid, the tourism department will host the premier inbound tourism exhibition Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) from April 23 to 25 in Jaipur.

The department recently scheduled a high-level conference, and early estimates indicate that around 280 travel companies involved in bringing international tourists to India would attend.

According to Principal Secretary Gayatri Rathore, “Around 283 tour operators (FTOs) from 56 countries will participate in this edition of GITB. Ambassadors and representatives of G-20 counties will join, and eight state tourism boards will take part.”

GITB is organized by the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

GITB receives participation from more than 280 foreign tour operators from all over the world and more than 290 Indian Exhibitors to showcase their products. Over the period of two days more than 11,000 pre-scheduled structured face to face business meetings take place between foreign buyers and Indian sellers.

This year, around 300 booths comprising of DMC’s , State Tourism Boards , hotels and many more will be exhibited in GITB.
