Jamaica tourism minister to join in Tourism EXPO Japan trade show

Minister of Tourism in Jamaica, Hon. Edmund Bartlett is set to take part in the much-awaited Tourism EXPO Japan 2022 tradeshow.

There, the minister will strive for facilitating important discussions as part of efforts for exploring the Asian market.

The comprehensive travel trade event is known as one of the largest travel trade exhibitions in the world.


It will take place from September 22 to September 25, this year, assembling pivotal players from the global tourism industry and travel-related business arenas.



The event is predictable to offer numerous prospects, comprising business meetings, and direct business-to-business and business-to-customer campaigns.


Mr. Bartlett said that he is looking forward to the chance to leverage the constructive connection existing between Jamaica and Japan, for boosting tourism cooperation along with upholding Jamaica at the travel trade show.


Throughout his trip, Minister Bartlett is expected to meet with various senior government officials and business interests.


The Tourism Minister also specified that he is hopeful regarding discussions and the sharing of understandings coming out of the expo. Mr. Bartlett will also embody Jamaica at the State Funeral for erstwhile Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.


While in Japan, Minister Bartlett will also take part in the 9th Edition of the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Center’s (GTRCMC) Virtual Edmund Bartlett Lecture Series.


Minister Bartlett left the island on September 19, and is expected to come back on Wednesday, September 28.
