On Thursday, Tassaduq Hussain Mufti, Minister for Tourism, emphasized for protecting and restoring existing infrastructure in tourism, besides taking ground-breaking steps to expand and boost the important industry of Jammu and Kashmir.
The minister explained that this while addressing in a meeting of consultants of Darashaw Consultancy to look into the possibilities in creating an eco-tourism circuit in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The consultants apprised the minister about possibilities of regional planning, Urban Planning and Smart City Plans to develop sustainable, echo friendly and economy generating tourism infrastructure in the State.
The consultants explained the minister about their dream towards the creating world-class tourism infrastructure in the state. They also said that the company at present is providing consultancy services to the states under the flagship schemes of the ministry of tourism including PRASAD & SWADESH DARSHAN.
The minister required suggestion along with minute details in terms of the possibilities to build up better tourist destinations in the state, as well to maintaining its ancient heritage, habitat, diverse flora and fauna existing in the area.
Tassaduq Mufti also inquired the consultants to provide details in terms of improved infrastructure, maintenance, conservation, renovation, planning, design engineering, energy & environment development, asset management, survey and technical research for the sustainable and eco-friendly tourism infrastructure development in the state.
He stressed for promoting cultural and heritage value of the state to generate livelihoods, besides encouraging responsible, sustainability and conservation activities in the state.
The minister asked for organising training and motivation programmes to encourage and guide locals and tourists to opt for the paying guest accommodation facilities.
