Jammu and Kashmir witnessed 1.88 crore tourists last year. However, the government is hoping that this year,the influxes will cross the two crore-mark.


The Tourism Department Secretary Abid Rashid Shahsaid that year-on-year and month-on-month, they have witnessed more tourists this year when compared to the year before. They want to make sure that all domestic and overseas tourists have anunforgettablevacation in Jammu and Kashmir.


Shah said that it is the duty of all stakeholders of the tourism sector in J&K to make it anearnest and welcoming destination for all tourists.


Jammu and Kashmir witnessed 1.88 crore tourists in 2022, which is indeed a high and sufficient touristfigure for any region.However, the authorities are optimistic about more tourists this year.


Tourism Director FazlulHaseeb said that the number of entrances was extraordinary even before the beginning of the systematic tourism period in the Valley.


Majorly well-liked by honeymooners formerly, Kashmir is now luring even couplesmarried for long, who are coming to rejoice their anniversaries at the place.


People are simply happy to escape the sweltering heat of the plains and enjoy the mist blanketed mountains of Kashmir.
