Japan Airlines’ executives joined Port of Seattle leaders at Sea-Tac Airport Wednesday to announce daily nonstop flights to Tokyo beginning March 31, 2019.
The announcement comes amidst major progress on the new international arrivals facility scheduled for completion in August 2020.
Japan Airlines previously flew in and out of Sea-Tac Airport from 1983 to 1992. Port of Seattle Commissioner Ryan Calkins said he took one of those flights in 1989.
