JET2 and easyJet launches flights to Greece for 2022 summer

JET2 and easyJet launch more flights to Greece for summer 2022, with thousands of extra seats. Added an extra 1m seats between the U.K. and Greece for next summer, in comparison to 2019.  easyJet plans to add another 5,00,000 seats to Greece in summer 2022. Prices are able to drop as each airline will offer competitive rates. Destinations like- Corfu, Rhodes, Kos, Mykonos, and Santorini will be included, along with a new route to Athens from Birmingham and Manchester as well.

JET2 plans to increase seats to Greece from 1.1m in 2019 to 1.6m coming year. Vassilis Kikilias (German Tourism Minister) said Greece expects to welcome 35% more Brits coming year compared to 2021, reaching the same no. of 2019. One of the TUI spokespeople said they are looking forward to strong pent-up demand in the U.K., including bookings for summer 2022 now, around 120% higher compared to summer 2021 bookings.

More than 150% of bookings increased compared to May 2021 to May 2022. Holidays are restriction-free after the green, amber and red lists were scrapped, with the pricey day two PCR tests for vaxxed Brits. Brits having both jabs allowed to travel abroad quarantine free, only need a lateral flow test on day two. Experts had warned Brits to take a third booster jab so that they can go for vacations next year.
