In a strategic move to enhance its service offerings, JetBlue has announced the return of two highly anticipated nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) starting this July. These routes—connecting Fort Lauderdale to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE) in Guayaquil, Ecuador—underscore JetBlue’s continued investment in its South Florida hub and its commitment to meeting the travel needs of customers across the East Coast and Latin America.
Flights are now available for booking, with one-way fares starting as low as $69 for the Philadelphia route and $119 for the Guayaquil route, making these new options not only convenient but also affordable for travelers.
A Growth-Oriented Strategy for South Florida
These new routes are part of JetBlue’s broader growth strategy in South Florida, which has seen a 6% increase in departures year-over-year. As the leading premium leisure carrier at Fort Lauderdale, JetBlue is cementing its position by offering over 70 daily flights to more than 30 destinations. This summer, the airline will operate the most flights of any carrier to the Caribbean and Latin America, highlighting its commitment to these key regions.
Moreover, JetBlue’s investments are also reflected in the substantial 60% growth in lie-flat seat availability compared to last summer, catering to passengers looking for enhanced comfort on long-haul journeys.
“As JetBlue continues to build the best East Coast leisure network, we are offering customers more value, choice and convenience,” said Daniel Shurz, head of revenue, network and enterprise planning at JetBlue. “With direct access from Philadelphia and Guayaquil via Fort Lauderdale, we’re not only making it easier for more customers to get to their favorite vacation destination, but also to connect with their family and friends, all while strengthening JetBlue’s position as a preferred carrier in South Florida.”

Meeting Customer Demand and Strategic Opportunity
The resumption of the Philadelphia and Guayaquil routes is a direct response to shifts in market conditions and the airline’s ability to leverage aircraft availability, which were previously factors in temporarily pausing these routes. By reinstating these popular flights, JetBlue aims to meet growing customer demand and capitalize on strategic opportunities in these important markets.
With this move, JetBlue continues to demonstrate its dedication to offering exceptional service, competitive fares, and increased options for travelers flying out of Fort Lauderdale to destinations across the United States and Latin America.
