Over 100 travel agents, hoteliers and houseboat owners from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions of the State took part in the Trave Mart.
The Department provided free space to the travel companies, hoteliers and houseboat owners who conducted B2B and B2C meetings with their clients.
Many other travel companies and hoteliers had also set up their separate stalls for promoting their companies and the state’s tourism products.
OTM is one of the biggest travel shows in Asia and a great platform for travel agents, tour operators, hoteliers, destination management companies, and tourism boards for selling their products, providing opportunities for networking with their potential clients from around the world.
Director Tourism Kashmir said that the J&K Stall received a good number of visitors on the very first day who enquired about various tourism products of the State, showing keen interest to visit J&K.
The Tourism Department also screened short films on different destinations and on various themes for the visitors who were mesmerized seeing the State’s stunning beauty and diverse tourism products.
Earlier, the department participated in another travel show South Asian Travel and Tourism Exhibition (SATTE) in New Delhi.
The department has planned a series of road shows and would also participate in travel marts in the next two months.
