Jonathan Rayner has appointed as the Chief Commercial Officer of London Luton Airport. Rayner takes over from Jonathan Pollard, who steps down from the role this month. As a part of his new role, Rayner will be responsible for growing and developing the commercial activity of the airport by working with airlines, retailers and other business partners. He is all set to join the team in early November.

Rayner joins Luton Airport from Edinburgh Airport, where he currently serves as the Aviation and Digital Director and has overseen transformational passenger growth and digital innovation. Prior to this, he served in commercial leadership roles at a number of U.K. airports. He joins Luton at a crucial time in its recovery from the impact of the coronavirus crisis.

Speaking on his latest appointment, Rayner said in a press statement that he is delighted to join the London Luton Airport at such a critical time for the aviation industry. He shared that London Luton has shown strong signs of recovery so far, and mentioned that he is looking forward to ensure that the airport continues to thrive in the wake of COVID-19.
