Recently, a government minister of Jordan has said that this country in Western Asia has witnessed a fast and amazing revival in its tourism industry. Nayef Al-Fayez, the Tourism Minister, defined the situation as quite comforting, emphasizing on Saturday that from the start of 2022 until the end of June, the kingdom witnessed more than 1.9 million visitors.

He said that for the economy of the country, the return of expatriates is an important component and that the revenue of tourism was calculated by the Central Bank.

Al-Fayez also explained that as Jordan was not impacted by the Ukraine war directly, the tourism industry dealing with Ukrainian and Russian markets was impacted with no doubt.

He stated that the ministry had highlighted sectoral challenges by developing a risk calculation program. This program was launched in response to the COVID-19 to keep going with the work and conquer the present as well as future disputes with the participation of the private sector.

The minister explained that the search for new markets was a constant process and that the Asian market was crucial but was going through the ill impacts of the pandemic.

He emphasized the significance of the US market next to the European.

Al-Fayez explained that the program with the title – Our Jordan is a Paradise, had served its purpose with 109 Jordanians making the most from it in the initial six months of this year.
