The Jordan Tourism Board partners with Universes in Universe-Worlds of Art (UiU) and announced its launch of “Art Destination Jordan”, a website that gives a glimpse into both the modern and ancient art scene of Jordan on the first day of ITB Berlin.
The JTB and UiU will be presenting the shared project to ITB visitors during the trade days of ITB for a demonstration on the key factors of the shared project.
Art Destination Jordan is an exclusive web product and a sustainable resource for cultural tourism, combining contemporary and modern arts and architecture with historical treasures, traditions and cultural heritage of the country.
This website is projected on “a modern city built on the sands of time”, which recommends excursions to other cities, archaeological sites and attractions in Jordan.
Commenting on the launch, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Lina Annab said that they are really excited to see Jordan presented in a different light than usual.
The classical view of Jordan reflects the ancient cultural heritage, our adventure trails and the modern hotels, but this is the first time the tourism department of Jordan is highlighting contemporary art events, museums, studios, hotspots and more to the visitors of the country.
Abed Al Razzaq Arabiyat, managing director of Jordan Tourism Board, added that this type of project that will improve the awareness of Jordan in international markets and persuade the international visitors to not only extend their stays in Amman, but in the country as a whole.
The idea behind “Art Destination Jordan” is to contribute in boosting the cultural tourism and producing tangible economic results to the country and these cultural hotspots.
