Kashmir’s tourism players happy with business

Kashmir’s tourism players are happy with their business following the massive arrival of tourists this year. In fact, the Valley has witnessed a huge footfall of tourists from all over India.

A good number of tourists have also dropped in from other parts of the world. This has surely benefitted everyone related to the J&K tourism.

After several years, the J&K tourism industry is doing great business, with the hotels, houseboats and guest houses fully occupied.

From a financial perspective, tourism is considered a blessing that creates work for scores of people directly or indirectly. Hence, all tourism players comprising hoteliers, houseboat and Shikara owners have received tremendous reaction from tourists this year

This has led to marvelous business, which is even more than what the tourism players had wished for. For the last few years, tourism players witnessed massive losses due to the nullification of articles 370 and 35A. The entire milieu of the valley became very troubled. After that, with Covid-19 affecting the whole world including Jammu and Kashmir, the tourism industry got affected extremely badly.

However this year, several tourists visited the Valley during the opening months. Lakhs of visitors entered the tulip gardens within a couple of weeks itself. Thus, with this massive influx of tourists, all the sectors related to the tourism industry have earned back their means of support.
