Kumram Bheem Asifabad, after waiting for years, is now all prepared to kick-start boating facility at the quaint Kumram Bheem Project reservoir. From the district headquarter city Asifabad, this reservoir is located 10 kms. A 33-seat catamaran has been obtained by the district administration for the purpose, and it is most probably to be inaugurated on Independence Day, 15th Aug, 2022.

The reservoir will ultimately be set up into a tourist destination by constructing cottages with added facilities for tourists. For this reason, the area is being cleaned on the banks of the reservoir.

Officers made the matter understood about the boat to KB Asifabad Collector, Rahul Raj and Additional Collector Chahat Bajpayee

In Telangana, KB Asifabad is considered as one of the most backward districts however, it can easily meet the criteria as one of the most gorgeous countryside due to its huge natural resources. The district has roughly 50% forest area.

The beauty of the forest is improved by its mountain streams on which many cascades are there, particularly its western upper reaches. The Gundala and Saptgundlu waterfalls are the most beautiful ones as the latter being allocated for development in the tourism sector.

On day before yesterday, i.e. Saturday, the boats arrived from its manufacturing unit. Rahul Raj, KB Asifabad Collector, Additional Collector, Chahat Bajpai and other officials went to the Jetty Point in Adda village. There, they were briefed about the ship and it’s working.
