Published on : Thursday, November 28, 2019

Kerala tourism minister Kadalampally Surendran said that the government is aiming to nearly double the tourist arrivals in the state by next year.

For this, the Kerala government is providing special support to the tourism centers of North Kerala. Mr. Surendran inaugurated a workshop under the theme, “Tourism opportunities in North Malabar”, jointly organized by Bekal Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. and North Malabar Chamber of Commerce (NMCC).

The Kerala government is also thinking of a “new tourism circuit” connecting Kozhikode, Kannur, Wayanad and Kasargod districts in North Kerala. North Kerala holds great potential to take a big leap in tourism with growth in foreign tourists in the region in the past few years.
