Kerala tourism authorities to prepare an action plan for boosting tourism in Munnar

Kerala tourism authorities have launched efforts to prepare an action plan for boosting tourism in Munnar, which is Kerala’s top hill travel destination. A meeting for discussing the methods to be implemented as part of the plan was attended by top tourism officials and stakeholders.

Officials said that among the major aims of the action plan being finalized by the Tourism Department is speeding up the pace of the ongoing development projects in Munnar. Besides, the plan would address issues like traffic congestion in the area.

“A proposal has been submitted to the government to build a flyover in the town. Parking areas will also be identified with the help of the local bodies and residents,” said Kerala Tourism Minister PA Mohammed Riyas on a Facebook post.
