The Kerala Tourism Department inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) Society on Tuesday, October 26. As per this agreement, there would be disbursal of interest-free loans up to Rs. 10,000 to assist the employees of the COVID pandemic-hit tourism sector of Kerala. TheMoU also mentions that the loans provided by the Revolving Fund, which is set up by the state government, will not comprise collateral security.
Kerala Tourism Director V R Krishna Teja and KTM president Baby Mathew signed the MoUfor supporting employees serving the tourism sector. KTM Secretary Jose Pradeepwas also present during the occasion. Jose Pradeepsaid that the MoU would be a major relief to the tourism employees.
