The third edition of Kerala Tourism’s global online painting contest for children has started. Children falling in the age group of 4-16 from around the world can take part in the competition with the theme of ‘Kerala Village Life’.
Registration is free, and the contestants can submit five entries maximum. The scanned pictures of the paintings can be uploaded on the website https://www.keralatourism.org/contest/icpc/ starting from April 1 to September 30.
The painting contest received a great response in its previous seasons. The contest is held in three categories, i.e. children in Kerala, children from other states in India and children from overseas.
Kerala Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas said that this global competition will help children recognize the important attractions of Kerala Tourism. Riyas said that Kerala has bagged several global honors for its activities carried in rural areas as part of Responsible Tourism. This painting contest will help in boosting the top features of Kerala Tourism among children.
The competition presents a total of 101 striking prizes. The first three champs from each category will receive special keepsakes along with certificates. Ten winners from overseas will get a free five-day vacation in Kerala and also a scope to visit the state’s best tourist spots accompanied by two of their family members.
Five winners from the category – other states in India will get a five-day family excursion to tourist sites in Kerala.
