Kerala urges all operators for mandatory registration

In order to maintain standards and regulate services offered by the adventure tourism providers, the state government of Kerala is possibly the first government to ask all operators for mandatory registration.

As per the recent move taken by Kerala government, the adventure tourism operators providing services in air, land and water will have to register with the state government for running their operations.

Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society (KATPS) which comes under the state Department of Tourism has conveyed the procedure and protocols which have to be followed by the tourism service providers in Kerala.

Tourism Director V R Krishna Tejasaid that the adventure tourism sector has high potential especially in the times of the Coronavirus pandemic. With the mandatory registration and strict regulation of the activities of the service providers, Kerala is expected to attract even more tourists from different parts of India and the world. This move wouldestablish the trust of the tourists in Kerala’s adventure tourism service providers.
