A two-day Korea Festival was organised by the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) on November 25, at Ambience Mall, Gurugram, Delhi. The event was inaugurated by the Executive Vice President, KTO, Mr Min Hong Min, along with Suman Billa, Joint Secretary Ministry of Tourism, showcasing Korea’s art, culture and heritage.
The festival set up food counters to give a taste of Korean flavours to serve Indian taste buds besides featuring experiential attractions like face mask painting, Hangeul calligraphy and video gallery exhibiting Korean history & cultural assets. Furthermore, the K- Beauty zone by famous Korean beauty brand Innisfree offered free make up sessions and samples to the visitors at the festival. A special Virtual Reality zone and Photo-Op Booth had been created for the visitors to get themselves clicked wearing Korean Traditional Hanbok dress with customized background.
Min Hong Min said, “We organized the Korea Culture and Tourism Festival for the Indians to feel and experience Korean traditional and modern culture.”
Incidentally, the Korean city, Pyeongchang will be hosting 23rd Winter Olympic Games 2018 and is emerging as a winter travel destination in Asia.
