The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has launched a new campaign titled “TakeMeBackToKorea” with the aim of making holidaymakers wander in Korean reminisce. The campaign has been launched in a time when travelling is restricted, and people are reliving their past adventures and dreaming about moments where they explored their favourite destinations with a hope to travel again. The campaign wishes to encourage positivity and inspire travellers to look forward to good times in South Korea.
The campaign will appear as a form of journey through the destination’s modern and exciting offerings; from World Heritage sites, picturesque locations to traditional Korean cuisine and unrivalled shopping spots. Based on the desire of vacationers to “escape” from the confinement of their homes and look back on their travel memories, the campaign seeks to evoke exhilaration among travellers so that they visit the vibrant destination soon. “TakeMeBackToKorea” has been set to keep Korea, and its people, in the hearts and minds of travellers until travel resumes, so that travellers can cherish their holiday memories and image their own visual of Korea!
The engaging campaign film encapsulates glimpses of memoirs from popular YouTubers vacationing in Korea, while they share over their experiences through stunning throwback photographs and videos. The visitors also flip through their travel album and brings alive the unique moments from their trips to Korea. Each traveller moves on to placing their treasured photo from the trip onto the album and passes it to their influencer friend, who mirrors the action. The fun, high energy video comes with an upbeat music, and underscores the true spirit of the destination.
