Korean Air has launched a cloud command centre for safe, stable transition of applications and data into the cloud.
The entire IT system will be migrated to the cloud this will make the Korean enterprise a global full-service airline carrier to overhaul its infrastructure.
It has signed an agreement with LG CNS and Amazon Web Service in November and Korean Air could successfully complete the migration of its data over a period of seven months.
With the launch of the new command centre one could easily monitor the airline’s migration to the AWS cloud. The staff will be closely observing the migration process day and night in the control tower while the conference room will be used as the operations centre in case any emergency occurs.
The control tower in the center will look after the tasks related to the data centre, foreign and domestic networks.
It will enable system managers to track the process at all times. The airline will be able to check the location and scale of any errors and take immediate action as it will be integrating operations of servers, networks and security device.
Korean Air will complete the stable migration to the AWS cloud and continue to embrace digital innovations to improve customer service with the incorporation of the new command centre.
