The Kottayam CMS College is all set to open its doors for academic tourism in the state for the first time. Tourists can visit the grand old campus from October of this year. A giant ornamental fish exhibition would be arranged on the college campus, as part of this ambitious project. Additionally, a waste management plant in the model of Thumburmuzhi would be constructed as well. In two weeks time, the construction of the building with an area of 2000 sqft would be finished. The centre built on Rs 15 lakh looks like the Great Hall exactly in the college. The ones, who have registered on the website and the mobile application of the college, can see these. The school students, in the first phase, would be given importance for entry. Furthermore, on 40 acres of land, a museum would be built, which is owned by the college with financial help from the government.

For the construction of this building, the state government has allocated Rs. 2 crore, which has an area of 850. 0 sqft. Different types of machineries for printing and a computer has been donated by famous scientist and former student, ECG Sudarshan, would be part of the museum.

The authorities are targeting to enhance college’s rich history that was established in March 1817. Also, they want to exhibit the incredible legacy in printing and publishing.
