In order to increase domestic tourism from Gujarat, the Department of Tourism in Karnataka in association with Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) held road shows at Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat for upholding tourist attractions, hotels, homestays and resorts as well as service providers from Karnataka for the people of Gujarat.
Karnataka Tourism’s principal aim behind the event is to publicize Karnataka as a tourist attraction for vacation tourism, MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) tourism and adventure and wildlife tourism and also as a wedding destination.
KSTDC is the nodal agency for organizing road shows in many cities in India. Karnataka also presents any enthusiastic traveler with a huge array of tourism backgrounds like archaeology, religion, ecotourism and handicrafts.
A presentation of ‘Puja Kunita’, which is an ancient art form of Karnataka, was organized to display the cultural inheritance that Karnataka is known for. The road shows upheld various features of Karnataka tourism like nature, adventure, pilgrimage, wildlife and heritage among others.
T. Venkatesh, IAS, Director, Department of Tourism said that Karnataka is renowned for a wide range and thrilling selection of internationally famous tourist attractions like UNESCO World Heritage sites, superb wildlife and magnificent nature and virgin beaches among others.
Karnataka is an all-round tourist spot. The roadshow series will motivate people for domestic inbound travel and increase the marketing initiatives of Karnataka Tourism for upholding the state’s attractions to potential tourists and the travel trade of Gujarat.
