The Lakeside Conference Centre that is based just outside New York forecasts a strong 2018 after a 10% rise in bookings over the last 12 months.
This conference room had welcomed over 3,500 delegates in 2017 with more than half of all bookings that comprised repeat business.
New business to the site included events for Kerry Foods, RSPCA and Imperial College London. Lakeside has observed a clear trend towards smaller meetings of 30 and under.
A majority of clients booking events of this size are currently opting for a cabaret-style-set-up enriched with interactive elements rather than the more formal theatre-style.
Important times for meetings continue to get shorter as well. And the enquiries come through just two weeks before the event date.
The Lakeside Conference Centre manager Nicola Vickers mentioned that they have a good focus on customer service and ensuring that they are as flexible to meet the requirements of the client. They feel that this really has a direct impact on the high level of repeat business they see.
