According to AirDNA, Airbnb analysis site calculated the figures and revealed that an unnamed Individual or management company drew £12m in a year from its 900 rental properties across the capital.
Airbnb is a portal which offers tourists their home for short-term rent, the entire home or rooms is listed in the portal through which people can make a choice.
A landlord in Bali stood closer to second garnering £11.8m through its 504 properties in Bali.
Landlords in Cape Town, Paris and Barcelona were also among the top most destinations for Airbnb property owners.
The Airbnb business model is now undergoing a change and what had started as a personal way of sharing apartment is gradually turning into a portal through which companies were developing property management business.
Scott Shatford, the chief executive of AirDNA mentioned that Airbnb was no longer a community of individuals trying to rent out their properties or space on their own.
Airbnb mentioned that a host would be able to earn £3,000 for a month and typically hosting for 36 nights per year.
The site will come up with its own calculations after scrapping data from the Airbnb site.
As per AirDNA the split between the individual and the managemnet companies was still around 65 per cent to 35 per cent, while the ratio was gradually shifting towards the latter.
However, Airbnb insisted that 80 per cent of its UK host were sharing space in their primary home.
Basically the Airbnb hosts are people who share their homes to increase their income and support their families.
