The arrivals from Germany and France are at least double last year and bookings from Spain are up by nearly 23%. Separate figures from travel market researchers ForwardKeys said that the arrivals for two nights or more from the US are estimated to increase by 68% for the month of April.
City Hall hailed the bounce as a sign that London continues to be a world leader in terms of culture and arts and continues to ‘open for business’.
The tourism chiefs of London said that the theatres of London are proving to be a great draw thanks three world-renowned actors like Daniel Radcliffe, Andrew Garfield and Damian Lewis and also Jude Law.
