To mark the occasion, they were presented with Annual Passes along with a selection of Longleat memorabilia and met Viscount and Viscountess Weymouth.
Viscount Weymouth said that they were delighted to welcome Dave and Katrina and their family as their millionth visitors this year, especially as Katrina was visiting to celebrate her birthday.
Over the centuries Longleat has played host to everyone from Queen Elizabeth I to the Rolling Stones.
2019 has been a fantastically exciting and busy time for the entire team here at Longleat which got under way with the opening of our ground-breaking new Koala Creek at Easter. The enclosure not only enables people to walk among the koalas but also to find out more about the conservation work being undertaken to help protect them in the wild.
This year also marked the 70th anniversary of Longleat House being opened to the public and in September Longleat hosted its biggest ever Sky Safari balloon festival. They have rounded the year off with the spectacular Festival of Light, which again attracted record crowds and we’re already hard at work planning even bigger surprises for 2020, added Ceawlin.
In November Longleat was voted Best U.K. Leisure Attraction for 2019 at the British Travel Awards.
