Recently, the capital of Lorestan province has been studied thoroughly to develop its tourism infrastructure, the provincial tourism chief has said.
The project is being conducted by the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of the province together with the municipality of the city and city council, on Sunday, Ata Hassanpur stated this.
The official added that some old mansions and structures within the city’s historical core are designed to be ceded to the private sector to get improved protection. Lorestan was inhabited by Iranian Indo-European peoples, which is known as a province of raw beauty. From about 700 to 625 BC, Cimmerians and Scythians occasionally ruled the region.
The Luristan Bronzes, well-known for their assorted array of Assyrian, Babylonian, and Iranian artistic motifs from this tumultuous period of time.
Lorestan was included into the rising Achaemenid Empire in about 540 BC and consecutively was part of the Seleucid, Parthian, and Sasanid dynasties.
