The Los Cabos Tourism Board has driven the destination to a complete, 100% recovery of travel and tourism with a 20% growth in tourism arrivals in the last quarter from July to September this year compared to the same period in 2019.
In September 2021, Los Caboswitnessed almost 118,000 international arrivals – marking its most successful September month ever with a 40% increase in international arrivals. Los Cabos’ safety-focused methodology concerning tourism recovery is paying off.
Due to this recovery, Los Cabos has been able to recover all of its formal hospitality jobs, which are important for the tourism activity of the destination. Los Cabos implemented strong COVID-19 health and safety protocols, along with community vaccination program, which led to nearly 90% of its population, aged 18+ receiving at least one dose till now.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for travel destinations across the world and we are energized to see Los Cabos achieve a full recovery since tourism is at the heart of what we do,” said Rodrigo Esponda, Managing Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board.
