Due to the disastrous, customer service, long queues at the passport control and security along with poor airport facility has again tagged Luton as the worst airport in the UK for the third time.
It has a dismal 35 per cent satisfaction rating while London Stansted and Manchester T3 showed poor performance. They scored 44 percent in customer service as majority complained of long queues.
The list was topped by the Doncaster Sheffield Airport showing a customer satisfaction score of 87 per cent. Passengers were happy with short queues, facilities and fast baggage reclaim.
UK’s second-best airport was Southend having a 84 percent satisfaction score because of efficient backdrop, security and passport control.
The T5 terminal of Heathrow scored 63 percent while the T3 was worst rated with 55 percent. The reason behind the low score was limited range of shops and restaurants and queues at the passport control.
A survey was conducted on 11,265 passenger visits to UK airports in the duration between April and May 2018.
