According to a prediction for 2018 shared by the Latin American Travel Association (LATA),Colombia is likely to witnessed a rising demand for luxury travel bookings.
The association also mentioned that the growth if high-end developments and services in the region was triggering the demand for luxury holidays.
For instance Awasi Iguazu that is a luxury eco-resort is expected to open in January in Argentina. This is the very place where Leonardo Di Caprio’s Blackadore Cay, A Restorative Island’ would be opening its doors later in the year in Belize.
Fresh luxury services like the Belmond Andean Explorer has also illustrated a strong reaction to the steadily growing luxury sector as per LATA.
In Argentina, Abercrombie & Kent has witnessed travellers shoft apart from more traditional travel destinations towards more undiscovered and wildlife highlighted areas of the nation like Peninsula Valdes on the Atlantic coast and the Ibera Wetlands.
Some travel portals like Jacada Travel have also observed a similar trend in the entire region of Latin America. A sharp rise has been noted in holiday bookings to unique track destinations like Punta Gorda in Belize and Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica.
LATA has revealed that it expects that the introduction of the first budget flight of Latin America from Gatwick to Buenos Aires with Norwegian Airlines would be opening up the area to a ‘more diverse market’ that would be stimulating further growth.
