Renowned as the Tiger State of India, the majestic Madhya Pradesh and its beautiful National Parks are home to a variety of flora and fauna. It has 11 national parks, and forests cover 30.72 percent of its land area (as per the 2011 census). You will be entranced by the scenery on your trip here as you go from Katni to Bandhavgarh, Bandhavgarh to Kanha, and then Kanha to Nagpur.

As you approach Maharashtra, the amount of greenery dramatically decreases. The state is home to a number of opulent wildlife resorts, which together account for 12.30 percent of India’s total forest area. Being able to fall asleep to the sounds of the forest, awaken before the birds start singing, and unwind in your room during a quiet day while the bushes, trees, and bees whisper in your ear are all incredible experiences.

So plan your perfect vacation exploring the timeless magic of its jungles at these wonderful lodges in Madhya Pradesh with our guide.

Kanha Earth Lodge
This lodge has twelve luxurious cottages and is tucked away in a small tribal village that borders Kanha’s buffer zone. There is a large verandah with a recliner in every cabin. Traditional Gond architecture served as inspiration for the lodge, and repurposed wood was used in the furniture’s construction. Additionally, they have a pool that is encircled by mahua trees. The reading room or the leisurely lounge are both options for evening activities. Regional, Indian, and continental food are offered in the multi-cuisine dining room.

Ken River Lodge

The resort features a lovely Machan restaurant with a view of the Ken River and stilted cottages. You can even go on a night safari from the Jhinna Safari Camp if you’re feeling brave. You can see civets, jackals, hyenas, foxes, and rusty spotted cats at the camp, which is a one-hour drive from the lodge. Because nocturnal animals are only active at night, now is the optimum time to catch them with your night vision device. The next day, you can take a stroll through the village and talk to the residents. You can go on a boat safari and see river birds and crocodiles from this lodge’s vantage point above the Ken River. The area has numerous points of interest such as the Pandav Falls and the Rajgarh Fort.

Samode Safari Lodge

Elegant individual villas are offered at Samode Safari Lodge. Every villa has a luxurious living space, a large lounge, and a bedroom with a private bathroom. Additionally, there is a dressing area, an outdoor bathing area, and a private verandah. Located in the main lodge structure, the lounge is attractively decorated. This lounge features two fires and has a breathtaking outlook. A sizable wooden open-air deck is located outside the lounge, and a swimming pool is located on the floor below it. A well-stocked library is also available.

Denwa Backwater Escape

You might even run into crocodiles as you cross the river to go to the national park for your early morning safari in Satpura’s Madhai region. Even if some of the local naturalists in this area don’t speak English very well, their enthusiasm, sometimes humour, and expert knowledge of the local flora and fauna will keep you interested during your nature hikes and safaris. The lovely Denwa Backwater Escape is the place to go if you want an opulent stay by a river and you prefer going on safari in the renowned Satpura Tiger Reserve. While drinking coffee on your spacious patio, observe the saffron sunset over the Denwa River with the Pachmari Hills in the background. This site offers hiking, camping, boating, and, of course, jungle safaris.
