Malaysia Airlines Offers the ‘Best of Malaysia’ In-flight

Malaysia Airlines today revealed 15 Malaysian favourites from its ‘Best of Malaysia’ menu in line with the national carrier’s overall brand refresh.

Guests travelling on Malaysia Airlines will be able to savour delicious Malaysian meals which will be served on-board its First, Business and Economy Class.

Malaysia Airlines Chief Commercial Officer, Arved von zur Muehlen said, “The new menu is of one of the many improvements Malaysia Airlines is making to transform its in-flight and on ground dining to a 5-star experience.”

“As the national carrier the Malaysian experience begins on-board and there is no better way to introduce this to visitors than via our delicious cuisine. We will be introducing 15 classic Malaysian favourites which can be enjoyed on our Business and Economy Class cabin from the ‘Best of Malaysia’ menu. Guests will be able to savour a selection of popular local dishes such as Chee Cheong Fun, Chicken Satay with Nasi Goreng Kampung, Hainanese Roasted Chicken Rice and Nyonya Fish Curry, at 30,000 feet.”

Guests on Business Class can dine their way through the different states in Malaysia namely Penang, Kelantan, and Negeri Sembilan with dishes like Fish Curry Kandar Style with Pappadum, Nasi Dagang, with Gulai Ikan Tongkol with Solok Lada and Ayam Masak Lemak with Steamed Rice spicy Sambal Tempeh and Daun Selom.

On shorter domestic flights, Business Class passengers can avail themselves to favourites like Dim Sum, Murtabak and Rojak Buah with Petis sauce and Crushed Peanuts. On top of these local favourites, all Business Class guests will also get to enjoy Malaysia Airlines’ signature dish, chargrilled Satay served with creamy peanut sauce.

Economy Class passengers will also be able to indulge in some delicious Malaysian dishes including Chicken Satay with Nasi Goreng Kampung, Hainanese Roasted Chicken Rice, Nasi Hujan Panas, Chicken Korma with Jelatah, Nasi Tomato, Kerutup Ayam and Achar Buah as well as chee cheong fun.

Also on the ‘Best of Malaysia’ menu are perennial favourites Nasi Lemak with Chicken Rendang and sambal, Ngau Lam Mee with Pickled Green Chilli, Mee Siam as well as the Nyonya Fish Curry.
