Malaysia Airlines is excited to announce the launch of MHrail, a new service that offers seamless rail connections through a unified booking system. As part of this initiative, the airline has expanded its collaboration with AccesRail, a global leader in providing air-rail intermodal solutions. This enhanced partnership enables travelers to easily book train services for further exploration of cities neighboring Seoul and London when flying with Malaysia Airlines.

Travelers flying with Malaysia Airlines now have the convenience of booking Korail KTX train services to and from Incheon International Airport in South Korea directly. Moreover, for journeys between London Heathrow in the United Kingdom and cities across the East and West Coasts, travelers can secure their train tickets with London North Eastern Railway (LNER) and Avanti West Coast, respectively. This new offering builds upon the already available route through the Great Western Railway. Tickets can be purchased via Malaysia Airlines’ official website and through Global Distribution Systems (GDS) affiliated travel agencies.

This collaboration ensures that Malaysia Airlines’ passengers have a smooth transition from their international flights to the rail services operated by these partners, all facilitated through AccesRail’s “9B” carrier code, enhancing the travel experience.

Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines from Malaysia Aviation
Group, said:
“We are delighted to offer our customers more options on flight to rail
connections, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience for all. With the introduction of our new
MHrail product, we provide passengers with a seamless avenue to purchase both flight and
train tickets, making it convenient for our guests to explore neighbouring cities and enjoy
onward connections upon arrival in London or Seoul through a single itinerary and ticket.”

Andrew Popescu, Vice President Business Development, AccesRail, said: “AccesRail
and Malaysia Airlines have worked together for many years with interline opportunities that
have expanded the airline’s route network. We are excited to be deepening our Malaysia
Airlines-AccesRail cooperation and look forward to continuing with them on a global scale.
Through this enhanced AccesRail partnership, Malaysia Airlines will be able, now and in the
future, be able to offer its customers more destinations and more possibilities in a more
seamless fashion.”

AccesRail, headquartered in Montreal and operational for 25 years, is integrated across all global GDS systems. It has established partnerships with key rail companies in Europe, North America, and Asia. This network enables customers to seamlessly book and purchase combined air and rail travel within a single itinerary.
