Malaysia Airlines recently vaccinated all of its active pilots and cabin crew against Covid-19. The move was initiated to help to protect both employees and passengers from the risks of the deadly virus. Moreover, the Malaysia Airlines Group (MAG) vaccination programme has also been accelerated with 95 per cent of Malaysia-based employees now vaccinated.
The airline has started mandatory vaccination for all employees since July with people with health and medical conditions being the only exceptions. In addition, enhanced health and safety protocols have been introduced throughout the airports the carrier operates from and onboard to ensure customers and employees are safe and protected throughout their journey.
Daniel Bainbridge, Regional Director for UK & Europe, Malaysia Airlines said in a statement that the safety of staff and passengers has been of paramount importance to Malaysia Airlines throughout the pandemic. He mentioned that he is very proud that 100 per cent of the onboard team have now received their Covid-19 vaccinations.
He mentioned that he is hopeful that reaching the milestone will give passengers the peace of mind. He concluded that the airline is looking forward to welcoming passengers back on board soon with warm Malaysian hospitality, for a safe and comfortable flight.
