A man goes overboard from Oceania’s Nautica cruise ship. The ship has been circling for an hour in the same location for the missing man.

A tape placed on the deck has shown how the ship has been roaming around the location where he was last seen.

The ship’s itinerary shows that Nautica left Barcelona, Spain on August 15th. Then she sailed to Spain, France, Monte Carlo, Malta, Italy and Greece.

After this, she was scheduled to arrive in Turkey around noon yesterday, 28th August.

The cruise line has not yet issued any public notice regarding what has happened exactly. There is no public information on whether the missing person was a guest or a crew member. It is also unclear whether the person has been found or not. Turkish police are on board to find out the man and help in the chaos. However, nobody has made a proper public statement regarding the status, although reports of anxious co-passenger have arrived.

Oceania Nautica underwent a dramatic refurbishing last April in 2022. The ship has been refurbished for the first time during the pandemic. The refurbishing has been budgeted for about $100 million. The suites, staterooms and marble bathrooms can be found on the ship after the refurbishing. The ship generally has a good reputation but this incident brings confusion.

MS Nautica is operated by Oceania Cruises. The ship is part of the Regatta Class. The ship was built in the year 2000 which makes her 22 years old.

The ship is currently sailing in the Mediterranean. Nautica has a great amount of luxury to offer. However, there are other ships that are regarded as more luxurious.
