Manair river front project to convert Karimnagar into significant tourism destination: Telangana Tourism Minister

The Telangana government has given top priority to improving infrastructure in order to leverage the state’s tourism potential and foster new sporting talent, according to Tourism, Sports, Culture, Panchayat Raj, and Rural Development Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania on Saturday.


On Saturday, he conducted an on-the-spot inspection of different activities being carried out by the Irrigation department at the Lower Manair Dam (LMD) with a budget of Rs 300 crore as part of the ambitious Manair River Front Development Project in Karimnagar. He was joined by Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) managing director B.Manohar and Karimnagar Collector R.V. Karnan.


Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Sultania stated that the Manair river front development project will convert Karimnagar into a significant tourism destination, and he requested that the construction be completed as soon as possible.


He inspected the progress of projects such as riverside beautification, the construction of Bathukamma ghat, and the development of tourism infrastructure and facilities like boat cruises undertaken by the TSTDC at a cost of 100 crore. He also checked on the progress of the Haritha tourist budget hotel in Karimnagar.


Mr. Sultana then went to the Regional Sports School and spoke with the pupils. He stated that the infrastructure and other amenities of the sports school will be improved.


Then, he met with Collectorate officials to discuss Palle Pragathi, food processing, and other rural development initiatives.
