Manchester Airport to restrict operations to single terminal

Manchester Airport recently decided to restrict its operations to a single terminal. The airport will be closing two of its terminals temporarily starting next week. From March 25^th 2020, only one single terminal will be fully functional. The decision has been undertaken due to a sharp drop in traffic as a result of the global coronavirus outbreak.

All passengers accessing the Manchester Airport would be allowed to check-in and pass the security check only through Terminal One once the move is executed. Any individuals subjected to return to Manchester Airport will also arrive from Terminal One irrespective of the terminal they passed through during departure.

A Manchester Airport spokesperson said in a press statement that Manchester Airport would make necessary arrangements for customers who are returning to a different terminal as compared to the one they departed from and have left a vehicle in one of Manchester Airport’s parking lots. Manchester Airport would help them collect their vehicles and be in contact with those passengers to provide the proper explanation regarding how the entire process would work in due course.

Any passenger who will be traveling after March 25^th and has already booked car parking or lounge access for terminals two or three will be able to transfer their booking to terminal one. It was further added in the statement that throughout the transition, Manchester Airport will have colleagues on hand who will help the passengers and will be having extra wayfinding in place to provide guidance to the people and help them reach the right place.
